Aesthetic Blepharoplasty

This procedure is normally performed in local anaesthesia. The excess skin and fat is removed through the incision made along the fold of the upper eyelid. The scar can hardly be seen after a little while.

The lower eyelid is usually corrected due to wrinkles or baggy lids. In this case we incise directly under the lower eyelashes and the scar heals without any visible traces. If necessary, we remove the excess skin and treat the fat tissue responsible for baggy lids from this incision. After blepharoplasty we do not apply any bandage but fix the wound with steri strips.

We recommend wearing sunglasses in the post-operative period. Rarely complications such as haematoma, inflammation or problems closing the eyes due to swelling may occur, which disappear spontaneously.
